EA has completed its transition to a private company following acquisition by a consortium led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
On August 4, 2026, Electronic Arts (EA) officially became a private company. The transition followed a $55 billion acquisition deal announced in September 2025. The investor group that led the acquisition includes Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. After the deal closed successfully, the PIF reportedly acquired a 93.4% ownership stake in EA.
