Valerie Hillings Appointed as First Director of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi
Valerie Hillings returns to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation to lead its Abu Dhabi branch.
On August 4, 2026, Valerie Hillings was named the inaugural director of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. She will lead the museum after nearly eight years as the head of the North Carolina Museum of Art. Hillings previously worked with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, to which she will now return in her new role.
