The Psyche spacecraft obtained enhanced-color images of Mars using its multispectral imager during a close flyby in May 2026.
NASA's Psyche spacecraft captured detailed views of Mars on May 15, 2026, during a flyby using its onboard multispectral imager instrument. The spacecraft acquired four individual images over six minutes as it flew from the northeast to the southwest sector of Mars, which were then combined into an enhanced-color mosaic. These images provide new visual data of the Martian surface as the Psyche mission continues beyond its primary destination.
