EJ Swift has won the 2026 Arthur C. Clarke Award for her novel When There Are Wolves Again.

The book is a speculative work of eco-fiction set in near-future Britain and focuses on rewilding and climate activism in Britain.

Award director Tom Hunter described the novel as an “ambitious study in the power of long-term hope in the face of climate breakdown”. Swift was also shortlisted for the award in 2023.
