This Is Not A Dictionary.
The IAQ Lexicon is a living map of ideas discovered inside questions.
Every IAQ article can introduce a new concept, reveal a hidden mechanism, or give a name to a pattern that did not have one before. When an idea becomes strong enough, it may enter the Lexicon.
But not every candidate appears here. There are far more Lexicon candidates living inside IAQ articles than the concepts currently published on this page. The Lexicon grows selectively, as ideas connect, deepen, and begin to form families of their own.
What Do The Levels Mean?
A higher level does not mean “better.” It means deeper in the conceptual chain.

Recoverable Volume Compounding
What can be absorbed can be repeated; what can be repeated can compound.
The multiplication of long-term benefit produced when individually modest efforts impose low enough recovery, maintenance, or coordination costs to be repeated consistently. Recoverable Volume Compounding explains why a sustainable series of submaximal inputs can produce more total adaptation or useful output than fewer locally impressive efforts that repeatedly interrupt continuity.

Developed through the IAQ Running, Endurance, and Race Psychology series. It is placed beneath Local Optimization Trap because it describes the corresponding system-level alternative: reducing the visible intensity of one component so that repetition, recovery, and total output can increase. It differs from Compounding Convenience, which describes recurring convenience gains generated by an initial choice; Recoverable Volume Compounding describes recurring productive inputs whose limited recovery cost permits cumulative adaptation.
