Emotional Density
An object weighs what physics allows. A memory weighs what the heart refuses to let go.
Emotional Density describes the process by which ordinary objects accumulate emotional significance over time. A physically small or insignificant object may become emotionally heavy because it contains memories, identities, relationships, and experiences that people are unwilling to lose.
